new too!
By Megan Davis on January 30, 2010 (Saturday)
i am new to this as well...googled migraine diary to maybe download a template and discovered a much better way to track them! i tried a diary once before but just thinking about having a migraine gave me one! plus the guilt of seeing how bad i eat sometimes, or lack of sleep/exercise didn't help. for once i am actually excited to think about my migraines and maybe solve my lifelong mystery of triggers! its nice to have support out there, feel free to send a message or anything if you need an ally!
btw i find the term migraineur a bit of an oxymoron if you think of it how it sounds: reminds me of entrepreneur, as if we were seeking them out, or are connoisseur's of head pain (which i suppose we are), bu...
hi there i am new to this
By Tracie Thomson on January 12, 2010 (Tuesday)
i just started this site. I am so excited aboutthis online journaling, i have tried to keep written journals and it is very difficult cuz i am always on the go. I have had migraines since i was about 12 and i can never figure out what my triggers are. I am hoping with this and some help from the doctors i can get these terrible things under control. I am also going to try a low sodium low sugar diet. I have a feeling that those both may be what is causing my migraine to happen more often than usual. Well, i hope everyone has a great migraine free day!

Since then, I have tried just about every med known to man or maybe it just feels that way. Nothing seems to work beyond about two months or so, and the migraines have gotten progressively worse over the past couple of months. Top that off with a husband whose idea is oh my wife just has a migraine it's nothing we're not used to, which is true, however I don't like the way he says it. But what can I do....I'm one of those people who don't want to give in so I suffer in silence and work through them, and by work I do mean I go to work and do the best...
Sugar-free Migraines
By Migraine Mike on November 02, 2009 (Monday)
In fitting with the season, I wanted to put together my thoughts on the impact of sugar on migraines. With my own migraines, I've certainly noticed a high correlation with the amount of sugar in my diet. Generally, I'm pretty good about not eating sweets; however, I work in an office occasionally overrun with cookies, candies, donuts, and the link. Maybe it's the North-easterner in me, but I find it hard to say no to a Boston Cream...
Unfortunately, I notice my migraines are more likely to occur within a few days of high sugar intake: especially when there is a big change. I also find undeniable sugar cravings during and following a migraine. This seems to be consistent regardless of whether I've been...
