I never knew
By Cassondra Blythe on March 03, 2010 (Wednesday)
Well I am brand new in my diagnosis of migraines! I have had terrible headaches for the last few years and they are increasingly worse and with prolonged duration. It took several visits to my PCP, having an MRI and finally seeing an ENT to find out what is going on. BOY was he mad! Said my PCP should have known by the symptoms that I was having migraines! Well I have started taking Topamax (EXPENSIVE!) and he has prescribed Imitrex (EVEN MORE EXPENSIVE!) that I cannot afford at this time so I will try to analize my diet and pray that the Topamax works to prevent them maybe I will not need the Imitrex. If anyone knows of any resources to help pay for these medicines please feel free to email me. GOD BLESS mailto:cassondranlov...
DHE 45
By Trevis Adams on February 18, 2010 (Thursday)
I'm supposed to begin a new DHE protocol on tomorrow. This time I will receive it for 3 days via continuious iv infusion. I have had DHE in the past without lasting results. At this point I am willing to try just about anything to regain some measure of functioning.
If they only knew...

Right now I'm really struggling with the fact that "people" out there have no clue how much pain I'm in. I had to go to the ER again for a migraine last week and they tried everything that I knew wouldn't work because they don't want to give out any narcotic pain relief. I understand that, but when they can see that I have a history of migraines and they still spend wasted hours giving me things that I know wont help it is exasperating. A weather system started moving in yesterday afternoon and my migraine got real severe, really fast and I cried all night and didn't go to the ER because I knew they would spend hours doing "nothing" before giving me just a "little" something that helped before sending me home an...
new too!

i am new to this as well...googled migraine diary to maybe download a template and discovered a much better way to track them! i tried a diary once before but just thinking about having a migraine gave me one! plus the guilt of seeing how bad i eat sometimes, or lack of sleep/exercise didn't help. for once i am actually excited to think about my migraines and maybe solve my lifelong mystery of triggers! its nice to have support out there, feel free to send a message or anything if you need an ally!
btw i find the term migraineur a bit of an oxymoron if you think of it how it sounds: reminds me of entrepreneur, as if we were seeking them out, or are connoisseur's of head pain (which i suppose we are), bu...
hi there i am new to this
By Tracie Thomson on January 12, 2010 (Tuesday)
i just started this site. I am so excited aboutthis online journaling, i have tried to keep written journals and it is very difficult cuz i am always on the go. I have had migraines since i was about 12 and i can never figure out what my triggers are. I am hoping with this and some help from the doctors i can get these terrible things under control. I am also going to try a low sodium low sugar diet. I have a feeling that those both may be what is causing my migraine to happen more often than usual. Well, i hope everyone has a great migraine free day!
