Is it a migraine or just a headache?

I've seen this question come across twitter a lot lately: I've got this horrible pain in my head, is this a migraine? While only a doctor can tell you for sure, there are some basic criteria for determining whether or not your headache is a migraine.
First, ask yourself the following questions:
- Is this a throbbing pain?
- Is the pain greater on one side of the head?
- Is the pain moderate to high in severity?
- Is the pain made worse by movement or normal daily activity?
If you answered yes to any two of these questions, and you experience either nausea or sensitivity to light / sound, chances are you are experiencing a migraine.
